Mixtape short play

i saw this game on my twitter feed and people are hating on this game. somehow spiderverse is to blame for this because of the low frames on the characters. well im gonna say what i think about this game--- this game sets around in the 90s i think and try to emulate that 90s feeling or something, im not good on reviewing games. i like the gameplay on the first couple of hours untill it gets real repetitive, struggling to find that one item to progress, listen to more talking with that dude bro voice or accent. some flashbacks are fun and some are just boring. i dont have really much opinions on the story, to me its okay i guess? i really didnt progress much. its like watching anime where the first and last episode of the season are the interesting part of the story while the other are just filler, thats what this game feels like mostly. that flipping off explosion skate ride at the end of this video was bizarre. just reminds me of distborn having cancellation as a superpower. animation gets stiff at times but i heard its an indie who made this so lets just leave it at that, what i will say tho is the spiderverse style 10 fps animations on the characters. people say its jarring or something and i agree. most people dont even turn on the frame rate effect on the spiderman ps4 game. the framerate limit can be good but doing too much just feels really off especially when you put it in a video game, it is much more bearable in movies. artstyle kinda reminds me of norman, and life is strange. especially because of the amount of self talking about the item you interracted. anyway overall i kinda like the game, just not enough for me to play more. and the whole game is basically phineas and ferb episode of music video compilations but mixtapes.. huh.. i wasnt born and lived in the 90s so i cant really relate nor confirm its theme accuracy. sorry for litterally no editting, cant be bothered to do it. twitter was wild for saying spiderverse animators should be bashed or hurt or something. just because an indie game has the similar animation style but worse in every way. people are way too comfortable to be saying stuff behind the screen in their parent's aquarium. idk why i played this game, i could have played something worth my time XD little rant: cant believe IGN rated this 10/10 while mouse of p.i. gets like a 6? because of too much cheese on a mouse shooting game. now i get the hate.
