ode to Connor Maher.
Just as I thought to shove
clear off the battleship fatè
The harpoon of love
was hurled from the bow
so from then
until now
it pins me down
No matter, where I rove
Across the ocean cold and vast
with pinioned shoulders clove
It's reeling me
Till the end
on that I can depend.
2009. Connor Maher helped with the live version of this song. He suggested a soulful breakdown before the last chorus. It's not on this version yet I miss him.
