MOD GUIDE: Dart Zone Pro Mk-III
We just can't leave well enough alone! The Dart Zone Pro Mark-III was built for this hobby, with 16-gauge wire, an XT-60 behind the battery tray, and plenty of room in the shell for upgrades. It's a pretty decent flywheeler by itself, but how much further can we push it? With three Krakens, Daybreak flywheels, and a custom OOD Pro Cage, you can take an already competition-level blaster a step (or two) higher -- and even swap in different cages to tune your performance. At above 150 FPS and 16-17 Darts-per-Second on 3S, this thing makes me giggle pulling the trigger. Want to get started? Linked below is our Mod Kit, with all the supplies you need to mod your blaster to the next level: https://outofdarts.com/products/dartzone-pro-mk3-mod-kit-170fps All other compatible products and 3D printed designs for the Mk-3 can be found here: https://outofdarts.com/collections/dartzone-pro-mk3 Want more details on how to wire an XT-60 connector? Check out our earlier video here: https://youtu.be/0Gy_O6dRtKA FAQ, Updates, & Corrections: -If you have any questions about products we sell on the shop, don't hesitate to shoot us an email: [email protected] -Pusher Arm Update: So far ours hasn't broken (despite our best efforts), but in case anyone's pusher arm has, we will have a stronger 3D-Printed replacement available on the shop soon. - PTCs: Depending on the current draw of your choice of motors, you will want to bypass the PTCs on the Pusher assembly board to prevent it from tripping. We still are trying to source PTCs that could replace the originals for higher-powered motors. As always, keep in mind PTCs are there for a reason; if a jam occurs you should immediately stop reving and investigate in order to prevent burning out your motors. -ROF Upgrade & Tachi compatibility: We would still recommend the low ROF Tachi for the DZP Mk-III. The high ROF Tachi is really only recommended for 25+ darts/sec builds, people wanting to use the mag extender, and those who want to tune their mag spring to match their blaster's ROF (we have a video tutorial on tuning Tachis on our second channel). 0:00 Opening 0:33 Supplies to Source 2:45 Tools Required 3:27 Disassembling the Blaster 5:38 OPTIONAL - Talon Mag Fixes 9:20 Bypassing the PTCs & OPTIONAL - Pusher Motor Upgrade 15:49 Some Challenges with the Full Auto Upgrade 18:05 Wiring the XT-60 Connector 19:08 Re-Mounting the Pusher Assembly 21:16 OPTIONAL - Lubricating Internal Parts 21:58 Testing the Rate of Fire 22:19 Assembling the Flywheel Cage 24:59 Wiring the Flywheel Cage 26:30 OPTIONAL - Rewiring & Installing the Stock Flywheel Cage 28:42 Installing the Flywheel Cage 29:35 Partially Assembled Firing Demo 29:51 Reassembling the Blaster 30:19 Installing a LiPo 30:53 Fully-Assembled Firing Demos 31:15 Performance & Closing Remarks 31:58 Range & Accuracy Test Out of Darts, run by Luke, is a one-stop nerf-modding hobby shop.
