Dear Students, Image Representation and Description is an very important topic in Digital Image Processing. Numerical question based on Boundary Tracking Algorithm is an important topic in this chapter. Boundary tracking algorithms in digital image processing are techniques used to extract and follow the contours or edges of objects within an image. These algorithms are crucial for various image processing tasks, including object recognition, segmentation, and feature extraction. Key concepts and techniques: Connectivity: Defines how pixels are considered neighbors (4-connected or 8-connected). Starting point: The algorithm needs an initial point on the boundary to begin tracking. Boundary following: The algorithm iteratively moves from one boundary pixel to the next, based on connectivity and intensity differences. Termination: The algorithm stops when it reaches the starting point or encounters a predefined termination condition. In this Video, I have discussed the step-by-step procedure to track the boundary of an image by applying boundary tracking algorithm.
