Join us in the "Perfect Pizza Shop," where mathematical theory meets hands-on, intentional play. With over 27 years of experience in early childhood education, I have designed this high-engagement learning experience to move beyond rote counting and into the heart of one-to-one correspondence and cardinality. ​ In this video, you will see a small group of learners (ages 4–6) transform into "Pizza Chefs" as they navigate the multimodal nature of learning. By matching physical manipulatives—pepperoni, peppers, and mushrooms—to custom-designed "Order Tickets," students bridge the gap between abstract numerals and concrete quantities.
