Module Two - Intermediate Digital Skills

This Digital Literacy Intermediate Skills Module equips learners with essential knowledge to confidently use computers and digital technologies. Designed for individuals with limited prior experience, it builds practical skills in computer operation, software use, file management, internet navigation, and email communication, showing how digital tools support productivity, communication, and small business activities. The module also introduces intermediate topics such as operating systems, data representation, computer networks, databases, and cloud-based tools. Learners develop awareness of cyber security, data protection, and safe online behaviour, including common digital threats and privacy principles like those in Kenya’s Data Protection Act. It also explores emerging technologies such as AI and their role in sustainability, gender equality, and responsible digital innovation.
