Moksha means salvation, a liberation of the soul or spiritual awakening. A pure dance of ecstasy that liberates the dancer towards this goal is called Moksha Nata. A fast-paced rhythmic dance, the piece concludes with a prayer to Shakti, the feminine creative power also known as Narayani, Shiva’s consort or Gauri, the indulgent mother goddess. This piece is set to Raag Bhairavi, Taal Chaturasara Ektaali and is composed by Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra
