In this tutorial we explain the process of pouring and cutting a 2 piece cut block mold using out Platinum Silicone. This is a slightly more complicated parting line than what might be appropriate for a standing human figure. Update! When I recorded this, I used P525. Not sure if it is still available. Were I to re-shoot this, I would use either TC-5130F or slightly firmer TC-5140. Also, Eject-it 33 is no longer available so I would recommend Zip 301 instead. New updated links below.
As with any moldmaking, practice makes perfect. Make sure you have a plan before starting and test your silicone against the surface of your pattern if you are working with an unfamiliar material.
