Monado Shrink A

I’ve been absolutely in love with her design since her reveal, but I only recently found her model. Pairing her with Glimmer in this animation was nice because I do like both of their character designs. A technically should be using her own Monado (the Monado Fencer one that she uses in FR), but I couldn’t find a model for it, so her having Zanza’s Monado I works well enough. The scenario for this animation is kind of basic, but I think some of the actions they do look cool enough to make up for it. This is sort of supposed to be a spin-off of the Monado Shrink animations I did a while ago, so it follows a similar setup to them. I like how A’s wing comes out when she does her vision ability. It’s very heavily based on the animation she does in game for it, and it looks decent. The laser beam she shoots looks pretty cool too. Glimmer’s actions look pretty cool too. I really like how the fireball effects all combine in the end and shoot towards A. The animation stuff after A shrinks is pretty generic, but I like the way she climbs out of the bottle. It ends up looking pretty distinct. I’m not super happy with how the voices came out for this one. I felt like none of the voice clips I had matched for both the tone and content for what I wanted out of the characters at the moment. So I had a bunch of clips for something like A saying Glimmer’s name, but never quite at the inflection I needed. Pretty much all of A’s lines are either in that really monotone voice that A does, or they’re way too aggressive for what I needed. Glimmer was sort of the same way, where most of her lines were either way too aggressive, or way too passive. I think if I do voices for future animations, I might stick to doing it in languages I don’t understand just so I don’t have to worry about it as much anymore. The sound effects are pretty cool though. I don’t think they’re quite as cool as my last one, but there’s still some good stuff here. The Monado activation sounds sound pretty nice, and the way she shoots the laser beam is good too. Plus I managed to use the metal pipe falling sound effect, which is always a fun bonus.
