Moog SUBHARMONICON: Trifecta

Here it is.... Moog Mother-32, Moog DFAM, and the Moog Subharmonicon... -------Trifecta: ORIGIN 1970s: from tri-‘three’ + perfecta.------- Sequencing duties provided by the KORG SQ-1 and my fingers.. Wiggle, Wiggle..Bounce, Bounce..... lots of smart patching.... It took me the better part of an entire day to patch it and set it up just so... tired now... going to sleep.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now that I'm rested let break down this patch.. Shall we? Sequencer one of the Subharmonicon is modulating the cutoff of itself. That is very important to the sound you hear. Sequencer two of the Subharmonicon is providing the notes for the bass line. The Mother-32 is providing the sound for the Bass Line . The SQ-1 row "B" is providing the triggers to gate the bass line on the Mother-32. Velocity out of the DFAM is modulating the Mother-32 resonance CV input giving the bass line some movement during filter sweeps... The Mother-32's TRI LFO is multiplied at the Mother-32's mult and one copy is modulating the VCO 2 of the DFAM making that constant sweeping thing it's doing.... There is some slight FM going on with the two VCOs on the DFAM.(1-2 FM amount knob) The other copy of the mult is going to the Sub generator 1 of VCO 1 in the Subharmonicon via the second channel of the Mother-32 mixer section. This gives me attenuation to the amount of LFO that will sweep the sub generator knob on the subharmonicon. This comes in later in the video when I turn down all the VCOs on the SH except that one being modulated and then I sweep the Mother-32's LFO into audio rate.. 7:43 The sub VCOs on the SH are stepped so an LFO there will give cool arpeggios... The DFAM is clocking the SQ-1 and the SQ-1 is clocking the Subharmonicon. SQ-1 pitch data is going into VCO one and VCO two of the Subharmonicon.. The Subharmonicon is getting triggered by the "A" sequence gates of the SQ-1.. It took a long time to tune the Subharmonicon's VCOs, Sub Generators, step sequencers(2x 4steps), Mother-32, and the SQ-1's sequencers. However, the SQ-1 was quantized to minor scales and that part wasn't so bad.. If I didn't have a Mordax Data for tuning, I would cry. That's it, I think.... All three Moog VCA outputs are going into an intellijel Mixup and then to the stereo inputs on the Make Noise Rosie... No post processing or EQ... I had to balance the camera tripod on top of my Mackie mixer to get this camera angle.....
