Morimatsu (China) was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Morimatsu Industry Co., Ltd., which was established in Pudong, Shanghai, in the starting year (1990) of Pudong New Area development. Hence it was praised by many media as "Pudong No. 1". Morimatsu first realized the localization of key equipment in many industries such as hydrometallur- gy, PVC, PTA, BDO, PDH, acetic acid, photovoltaic, etc. in China. The foreign ships can directly dock at the port with reduced transportation costs.
