I have DRO for my mill for the X and Y direction. After awhile, I decided I needed to have a read out for the Z direction. I needed to make a bracket to install the Igaging indicator I bought (very economical). The cheapest and easiest way was to cast one. The bracket turned out very good, was fun to make, and the read out works nicely!
