It became the company's best-selling title of 1987. Synergistic Software ported the game for multiple systems. - By 1990, the game had sold over one million copies worldwide. - In 1985, Square released the game for the Famicom. It was developed by Bits. - In 1995, a remake of Thexder titled "Thexder for Windows 95" (also known as Thexder 95) was released by Sierra On-Line. It was developed by Synergistic Software. - In 2009 (PSP) and 2010 (PS3), a remake of Thexder titled "Thexder Neo" was released by Square-Enix. It was developed by Zereo Inc.
