The first shoot of the year. Also a first for a couple of guys to shoot black powder rifles. They received great advice from Tom and Deb who are excellent shooters They each got to shoot a 62 Cal. flintlock smooth bore and a 36 Cal. percussion cap. A Mt. Man Shoot is a time of fun for families and friends. Stepping back into the skills and arms of the time is a fun adventure. This year we had a couple of young men come and do a demo their new gun cleaning oil. They had never used it on black powder and wanted to see how it works. Then they got to learn how to shoot the guns. Fun to see how excited they got to shoot something that is NOT rapid fire at all.
