Mudpit Makeover
When I built my mudpit 4 years ago, I did not realize how much work it would take to maintain it the way it needs to be to provide depth and consistency. Six feet of mud is very difficult to liquefy. The first year I used it, I had more time to work with it. I've now decided to take down the side walls and rebuild it, but with a depth of only 2.5 feet. This will allow for a much larger area to sink in and will be much easier to maintain. It will be more like a traditional mudbath. The hole left behind, I had intended to plant a garden or grass, but the clay walls surrounding the hole will provide a nice barrier which will be almost as good as a pond liner. It may serve as my second mudpit. Hopefully next year I will be able to make more videos in the new mudpit. This summer was also a cool summer so mudding was not as enjoyable as in years past.
