Lecture Series on Sample Survey: Part 13
Hello friends, I am Shilpi Tanti (M.Sc, NET-JRF, PhD) and I have started a lecture series on Sample Survey as Sampling is one of the most important topics in Statistics. Only through sampling, we make inferences about the population.
Multistage sampling is a sampling technique in which there is more than two stages for drawing sample from the population. It is a complex form of cluster sampling and generalization of two stage sampling. This sampling technique is mainly used when the population is large and is dispersed in a geographically large area.
Multiphase sampling is a sampling technique in which we draw a large sample from the population and collect information and after that to get some additional information or crosscheck the data, we take subsample from the previously collected original sample.
