Multotec’s test work capabilities have developed over the years, borne from intensive R&D to develop new or expand existing industry products. Our capabilities include test and development work on spiral concentrators, classification cyclones, magnetic separators, samplers and laboratory-scale filtration and centrifuge equipment. Additionally, Multotec now produces equipment prototypes using 3D printing. Commodities that are supported by these advanced test work capabilities include Chrome, Coal, Copper, Gold, Iron Ore, Mineral Sands, Platinum and Silver. Multotec helps you with your mineral processing challenges through fines benefaction, fines removal, material upgrade, new process evaluation, process comparisons and equipment comparisons. To test magnetic separation, we use wet and dry intensity magnetic separator (LIMS), west and dry medium intensity magnetic separation (MIMS), magnetic roll separation (Magnaroll), laboratory scale wet high intensity magnetic separation (WHIMS), and pilot scale WHIMS. For water treatment and metals recovery tests, we offer resin screening tests, ion exchange equilibrium isotherms and kinetics, column loading and elution tests. Multotec’s full plant-sized testing facility uses the identical equipment to be installed to ensure test work information gathered can be replicated in real-time mineral processing. If the required equipment is unavailable, Multotec partners with laboratories like SGS and Mintek. Our test work conducted and supported by experienced metallurgists and product specialists. Multotec’s R&D contributes to the Multotec Group maintaining exceptional quality products and high performance standards. Mineral samples are received from around the globe and tested to prove their efficiencies and effectiveness in their specific applications.
