FHWA Administrator Shailen Bhatt announces the release of 11th edition of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways (MUTCD), which sets the standards for traffic signs, signals, and markings to ensure a uniform, predictable, and safer environment for people who drive, bike, and walk. FHWA has delivered an MUTCD that brings an updated perspective on vulnerable road users, includes signage that reflects new technologies, such as EV charging stations and experimental devices that are now permanently incorporated into the Manual.
