As starting material, I use a night photo containing stars in the sky, a twilight photo with a glowing sky, and a foreground image showing a beautiful desert. I show you how to create an ethereal glow around the stars while reducing noise in the sky, how to clean up the sky, different blending techniques, and an awesome technique to create convincing blends of photos containing different brightness. I also share how you can use frequency separation to smoothen out patchy surfaces. In the example photo, it's the sand and the dunes that look very uneven in some areas.
