Name Sight Words

This video shows how to teach sight words using MATCH/SORT/SELECT/NAME. My son has High Functioning Autism and when he started Kindergarten I knew he would need some additional supports with his reading. This method worked great for him to learn all of expected sight words he was expected to know to be on grade level. Match/Sort/Select/Name is an excellent way to teach just about any concept. Acquisition goes in the order of Match/Sort/Select/Name so you will start with Match, Sort next, Select after that and end with Name. Some students will be able to do all 4 steps in one setting while others will need to have the same step repeated over and over until mastery is achieved.
