DAN recently took a behind-the-scenes look at the Navy Experimental Diving Unit (NEDU), the US Navy's center for dive research. Established in 1927 and now based in Panama City, FL, NEDU specializes in dive equipment engineering, decompression safety, physiological monitoring, and underwater human performance evaluation. Conducting research that tests human limits in extreme environments, NEDU features unmatched ocean simulation capabilities, including the ability to recreate diving depths up to 2,250 feet of seawater.
