NDI Troubleshooting Explained
Angekis Technology is here to explain what NDI is and what it can do for your livestreaming and recording video productions in our new 10 part Explainer Series. Part 10: NDI Troubleshooting Explained In this video we go over how to troubleshoot some basic NDI issues. This is the NDI equivalent of “Try turning it on and off again.” First, make sure all of your devices (both NDI-enabled transmitters and receiving devices) are on the same network and subnetwork. Secondly, check antivirus software, firewalls, and network type. For testing purposes, Antivirus should be off, Firewalls should be off, and Network Type should be Public. Thirdly, make sure all firmware and software is up to date. This includes downloading firmware on your NDI-enabled devices (Angekis cameras can run a firmware update through our WebUI - just type in the device IP and click Firmware Update), and updating the NDI Tools pack. (You can download and update the NDI Tools pack here: https://ndi.video/tools/ ) For more advanced troubleshooting, you might try to run your setup over VLAN, which will restrict bandwidth on your network to handle only your NDI devices.
