AKA NE When Your Setup Gets Smashed (https://youtu.be/_jniXIDb6a0) My discord: https://discord.gg/qg2afY2Wb7 A version that loses less sun, but is poorly encoded thanks to OBS Studio: https://youtu.be/d162YqNB1AQ Strategy by 爱恋小遥. Card sequence by 瞎起不知道. His tutorial of this setup: https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1h5411a7Qj/ Tempo: Card 2: Ice - Doom | Ice - Cherry + Jala; 25 | 25 Zombies in this video: Zombie, Cone, Pole, Bucket, Football, Jack, Balloon, Digger, Bungee, Catapult, Garg, Giga (12 types). Giga density isn't high, but most other people play this setup with a similar density. Before playing, let's analyze the natural firepower of this setup: DPS level: Row 1/5: 1- (You need bomb Gigas 3 times AND stall 2-3 times) Row 2/4: 1 (You need to bomb Gigas 3 times and stall about once) Row 3: 2- (You usually need to bomb Gigas 3 times, or you can bomb them 2 times and stall them 4-5 times). In real gameplay, however, this level 2 is rarely utilized because Cherry is placed on row 2/3/4, all of which can hit Gigas on row 3. As a result, almost every Giga needs to be bombed 3 times (it's almost impossible to bomb Gigas on row 1/2/4/5 2 times and stall them to death). To do that, we need to wisely use our instants and cannon fodders. Let's analyze how to bomb them. There are two types of Gigas: 1. Those coming from the Doom wave (when you use Doom right after). They will be bombed by Doom | Cherry/Jala/Squash | Doom (3 times) 2. Those coming from Cherry & Jala wave. They will be bombed by Cherry/Jala/Squash | Doom | Cherry/Jala/Squash Dealing with these two types is very different because the range of Doom is much larger than the range of Cherry/Jala/Squash. Doom can usually hit 3 waves of Gigas, but Cherry and Squash usually can't. Therefore, we need to use cannon fodders to slow down Gigas from the Cherry wave and make sure the Cherry placed 2 waves after can still hit them. A Cherry placed on column 8 can perfectly hit Gigas that come and smash cannon fodders placed. For example, on 1:17, I am stalling Gigas coming from the Cherry wave. Although the Gigas in front of them are closer to the house, they will be killed after the next Doom shot. However, the Gigas from the Cherry wave will be killed only if the Cherry 2 waves after can still hit them. 瞎起不知道 recommends "Instant planning" (smartly deciding to use which instant on which lane). Basically, use Cherry to hit Gigas that walk slowly (they are easier to stall), and use Squash to hit "lone Gigas". Also, prioritize using Jala on row 1/5, where the firepower is the weakest. However, I'm not smart enough to do that, and I prefer fixing using Jala on row 1, Squash on row 2, and Cherry on row 3/4/5. This is less versatile, but I don't need to think as much, and I can make decisions earlier (such as Squashing row 2 and stalling row 3/4/5 early, without deciding what to do on the next wave, where Gigas may have already walked far). However, in situations where my small brain could also realize that "instant planning" would have an obvious advantage (5:15), I would change my plan A few tips: 1. When Gigas stop spawning, plant Sun-shrooms at the back to get some extra sun. 2. It's very easy to stall 1 lane of Giga for the Cherry, but difficult to stall 2 or 3. If you feel it's impossible to stall a lane, leave it and use a Squash later. 3. If you fail to stall Gigas for the Cherry, place the Cherry on column 7. If this misses Gigas from the new wave, find some ways to hit them an extra time. 4. Doom on 2-6 will miss zombies on 5-9. Doom on 2-7 will miss zombies on 5-3. Give them an extra Squash if possible. 5. Footballs and normal Gargangtuars on row 1/5 are annoying. Kill them with Cherry/Jalapeno if possible. They are difficult to stall. 6. I like to delay Doom timing a little, to give the Cherry wave less stress. 7. Gigas on wave 10 (huge wave) are difficult to stall. Be prepared. 8. I prefer using Puff-shroom on row 1/5 because they can also inflict some damage. Sun balance: I lost 2160 Sun. If I didn't make the Football mistake, I can lose less than 2000, but 5 Sunflower -2000 is still very tough. Most other videos on Bilibili also lose more than 2000 Sun. Crescendo published a video of this setup on "pure sun recovery levels". He recovered 5875 Suns, with extra Sunflowers planted. However, this setup won't last in, for example, 5 consecutive Giga + Balloon levels (at least with my skill level). Also, I want to say that this setup is way more difficult than those "NE unlimited sun 2-Gloom" setups, as those setups have way fewer plants to defend. However, what's the purpose of adding Sunflowers if those flowers are not enough? ——《无炮简史》 Nevertheless, the instant and cannon fodder planning of this setup is still widely applicable in other setups.
