The bottom works as a tripod mount, it's got an extra cold shoe slot and accepts 1/4" threaded attachments from any other brand. It connects to the camera in two places to make sure it's extra secure. Also, this camera cage has a rubber grip on the right side where your hand wraps around the camera, the ZV-E10 is notoriously thin and small and kind of weird to grip, but this cage makes it far more ergonomic.
