NEW 7.41 Patch - Biggest Item & Hero Changes Breakdown

Hi, I'm Torte de Lini and in summary, Patch 7.41 is a major patch because it removed facets for all the heroes. Facets were a great idea that were tough to balance and didn't achieve its goal: dealing with your hero pick being countered at draft. In terms of map changes, the Tormentor, Twin Gates, Lotus Pool and Wisdom Shrines have been adjusted to make it them slightly more advantageous. Whereas there are now new basic items like Shawl, Splintmail and Chasm Stone to provide armor, magic resistance or Area of Effect and these build into new larger items. Essence Distiller is one of the upgrade items that is an alternative to Spirit Vessel where you can target an enemy to provide True Sight over them or be placed on the ground to the latch onto an invisible enemy. Crella's Crozier like Necrophos' Ghost Shroud ability where the hero is in an ethereal state BUT they also steal movement speed and health restoration from all enemies in an AoE. Consecrated Wraps is replacing Eternal Shroud where a hero gets an all-damage barrier as well as movement speed when they take damage and lastly, Specialist Array is back but as a purchasable item that now builds into the new Hydra's Breath which gives a chance to hit multiple enemies and deals magic max health based-damage to all those targets at an additional range. Practically every single has been reworked in some way, with their facets and innate abilities changed, improved or implemented into their other abilities. Heroes like Disruptor got to keep their Kinetic Fence facet as an Aghs Shard ability. Doom's abilities are now obsessed with the number 666. Legion Commander had her Aghs Scepter downgraded but she has a new innate ability that grants armor when she or allies use abilities. Lich's Sacrifice ability is back and Lion's punching facet is not part of his ultimate ability. Mars new aghs scepter has finally got a makeover to make his Arena very strong and Nyx Assassin does massive mana burn on all his abilities. Shadow Shaman also has a new jar ability that summons a super Chicken ward and lastly Techies' MAD barrel makes a return. Lastly, Tinker's Defense Matrix is finally gone and his missiles have returned a la Team Fortress 2-style.
