Nexgen Magicube STEM Project P2
This is the second video featuring the Magicube. Eventually it will (hopefully) become a kit and a product but this version will be for our school projects. I made a smaller version here and added a switch. The processor is an ESP8266 in a Wemos D1 Mini and not an ESP32. This means it is smaller and stackable so battery power and safe charging / discharging should be accounted for in our final (product) version. For the school version we will use 9v batteries. Even though they don't last for hours and hours they still serve a decent purpose here. The final problem we need to solve is light diffusion which I want to add as part of the school project as a STEM problem. Coding was slightly different. We added a rapid fire mode to change the lights quickly which will make an insane demo when the whole class has built a light. If my kids had done this project at school as opposed to the boring and unfinished Arduino project they were given to do, they may have wanted to continue on with Arduino!
