In this video we will look at the classic nine-patch quilting square. With the assistance of good cutting technique and glue-basting the sections together will provide you perfect results. We will also talk about how to press our seams so as not to distort the fabric which would result in a skewed block. You will learn about nesting seam allowances and understand why that is so important and how it will result in a better looking and more accurate sized block.
The finished block, like all in this series, will measure 12". After the components are stitched together we will take a look at how to ensure that the block is the proper size.
