NISAR Data processing in ArcGIS Pro and QGIS
Welcome to my channel Space Remote Sensing and GIS. In this video, I explain how to download NASA–ISRO NISAR SAR data and demonstrate how to open and visualize it in QGIS and ArcGIS Pro, including 3D visualization for better understanding of terrain and surface features, followed by the creation of SAR composites for improved interpretation. NISAR is a dual-frequency (L-band and S-band) Synthetic Aperture Radar mission that provides all-weather, day-and-night Earth observation, making it highly effective for monitoring surface deformation, floods, landslides, vegetation, soil moisture, ice, and urban areas. Its high sensitivity to surface changes, regular global coverage, and free open-access data make it extremely valuable for research, education, and operational applications. This video simplifies the use of advanced SAR data and is especially useful for students, researchers, and GIS professionals who want to confidently start working with next-generation NISAR products. If you find this video helpful, please like, share, and subscribe to the channel for more practical tutorials on Remote Sensing and GIS
