The NP process throws out ideas and options and shows alternatives and variables. The NJ process can appear restrictive, limiting, or even obsessive to the intuitive perceiving type. But the process can also help guide brainstorming and give it direction. The two types help drive intellectual growth in one another, the NP by challenging the NJ to think broader and to consider more eventualities, the NJ by encouraging the NP to systemise their ideas and to apply intellectual principles and rules to deal with paradoxes and confusion.
