This is a 9x16 inch Nn3 layout with 5.2% grades and 2.25" min radius curves. The locomotives and cars were etched in brass and bent into shape. Each loco is powered and they are wired together with a capacitor to help with dirty track. The layout runs off "D" cell batteries at only 1.5volts using a simple on/off switch. The track is handlaid using code 40 rail and PC board ties every inch, with wood filler ties. The small building on the right is from Wild West Models everything else is scratchbuilt.
