I read that Badfinger's original recording was slower and more acoustic than the version Mal Evans got them to do at a peppier pace with electrics. Which is one of my favorite records of the era, as are just about all of Badfinger's releases. Anyway, here's maybe something more like their original, possibly.
Oh, I did a face-plant on the very first line: I sing "no matter what" instead of "no matter where" you are. Oops. But come to think of it, I'm just making the lyric even more inclusive!
