“No More Auction block” is an anti slavery song, it was originally sung in protest by slaves and later became a symbol of their freedom post abolition. The song was popularised during the civil rights movement of the 1960s by the likes of Odetta, Pete Seeger and Bob Dylan. Its melody inspired songs such as “We Shall Overcome” and “Blowing in the wind”
