This project has been a long time in the making. In this video, I build a custom Elm photo frame using traditional woodworking techniques, including hand-cut dovetails and careful material selection. The timber itself has history, and this piece became more than just a frame — it’s something personal. Along the way, I visit the Felder showroom and take delivery of a new planer thicknesser, marking a step forward in the workshop and what I’m able to make going forward.
