Norepinephrine is becoming the top dog vasopressor choice for EMS and ED clinicians. There is mounting data for septic, cardiogenic, and post-ROSC shock.
Norepinephrine acts on both alpha and beta receptors but at a higher alpha/lower beta ratio than epinephrine. This has led to some new side effects seen here at MCHD.
