A jovial Norman Mailer takes a Swedish TV crew on a tour of his early 70s base in Provincetown, Mass, and offers his observations on (then) modern society. The author riffs on consumer culture, experience, mass production, danger, hedonism, LSD, cars, totalitarianism and 'the Generation Gap'. Also featuring boxer and author José ("Chegüi") Torres, critic Diana Trilling and some excellent b+w footage of America in the early seventies.
Originally broadcast as a part of "Fem Amerikanare" ( Five Americans) on Swedish television.
