This video explains how to translate model files and run a groundwater model within the Visual MODFLOW Flex interface. Model translation refers to the process of generating MODFLOW input files based on the model elements defined in VMOD Flex. Dozens of translation settings are involved in the generation of these input files, and some of the more important translation settings are discussed here. Optional steps such as assigning MODPATH particles, ZoneBudget zones and observation/calibration data are also presented. For more information regarding specific translation settings please refer to the VMOD Flex user manual or the USGS MODFLOW documentation.
