NuVu-Kelvinside: Creativity Across Borders

In the midst of NuVu’s first studio program in the U.K. in July 2017, Ian Munro, Rector of Kelvinside Academy, discusses the challenges and danger of the traditional U.K. education system remaining stagnant in the face of change. Kelvinside Academy, a 139-year-old school located in Glasgow, Scotland formed a partnership with NuVu, a 7-year-old innovation school from Cambridge, USA, in May of this year to encourage innovation and creativity amongst its students. In NuVu’s one-week studio program called “Human++,” Kelvinside Academy pupils worked with NuVu’s Coaches, experts from MIT, Harvard and another institutes to explore the combined intelligence of humans and machines to solve real-world problems.
