NYUHSL Workshop on Git/GitHub

Previous HSL workshop on Git/GitHub basics. Set up instructions are below: - Install Git on the computer you'll be using for the workshop: https://git-scm.com/downloads (note: most MACs have git installed by default) - Create a GitHub account (only if you do not have one already): https://github.com/signup - Create an SSH key on the computer you'll be using, follow GitHub's instructions here: https://docs.github.com/en/authentication/connecting-to-github-with-ssh/generating-a-new-ssh-key-and-adding-it-to-the-ssh-agent#generating-a-new-ssh-key - Add the SSH key you just created to your GitHub account, again following GitHub's instructions: https://docs.github.com/en/authentication/connecting-to-github-with-ssh/adding-a-new-ssh-key-to-your-github-account#adding-a-new-ssh-key-to-your-account - If you don't have one, make sure to have a text editor ready (I'll be using VS Code, but you can choose anyone you like) Know how to local your Terminal (Mac) or git Bash (Windows)
