This transcription is based off of the very popular Noel Gallagher solo acoustic performance of "Slide Away" from Chicago in 1998. The video of this performance can be found here on YouTube. The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E. Noel uses some unique chord voicings throughout the song and I will explain them in detail so that you know what you are playing from a theory standpoint. We will start with the very cool intro then take a look at the verse and pre-chorus sections which remain the same throughout the song.
