In this video we'll talk about the occipital bone.
A bone composed of a basilar, squamous and condylar part and having the origin of numerous muscles such as the rectus capitis anterior, the longus capitis, the trapezius, the sternocleidomastoid and the splenius capitis.
A bone that stands as the connecting point between the skull and cervical spine throught the atlo-occipital joint and throught the passage within the foramen magnum of numerous structures such as the medulla oblongata, vertebral arteries, spinal arteries, the eleventh pair of cranial nerves and alar and denticulate ligaments.
