In October of 2000, VBFD responded to an apartment fire in the 2500 block of Oconee Avenue. Engine 3 and Haz-Mat 1 were first in and had a single story apartment with smoke showing. The crews entered and found a well involved kitchen fire that had spread into adjacent apartments. Captain Steve Lesinski talks about what he had on scene.
