Old Time Square Dance Skills & Calling Worshops

This is an invitation to attend Old Time Square Dance Skills & Calling workshops by Steve Green. The Ozark Mountains of Arkansas have one of the strongest, most youthful, and exuberant Old Time Square Dance communities in the nation. These square dances are inclusive, non-judgmental, and all about the fun of getting together with a diverse bunch of great people to dance to some of the best old time string band music in the country. Steve teaches workshop series on Old Time Square Dancing several times a year, focusing on enabling new callers to bring their joy in dancing and community to the folks who attend square dances. These workshops not only teach the techniques of calling, but give new callers the tools to give dancers the permission to be exuberant, joyful, and supportive of their traditional dance and music community.
