Led by AgCentric staff and developed by Central Lakes College and Natural Resources Conservation Service staff, Cultivating Career Success: On-Farm Communications Training prepares those new to agriculture or to their district to work with farmers.
This May session was the first of three open to NRCS and soil and water conservation district staff. Sessions coincide with spring planting, summer irrigation and fall harvest. Ride-alongs and drive-alongs are part of what make this training unique.
The Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources provided funding and assisted with promotion and logistics through its Technical Training and Certification Program, which is funded equally by NRCS and by state Clean Water Funds.
