Health care providers face many challenges in their daily basis and further adding to this challenge for those who choose to teach other health professions - resident, medical student, or physicians assistant. One minute preceptor approach can be utilized to optimize the teaching effectiveness. Originally designed for use by faculty in busy ambulatory practices, one minute preceptor is a micro skills teaching technique in a clinical setting as short as one minute. Five structured steps are explained for excellent one on one learning experience.
