In this video, I show how to fold a model that looks exactly like the traditional two-piece Ninja Star, but is from just one sheet! I designed this myself (twice!), but after looking on the internet, I found that the same model has been designed independently by at least four other origamists -- Jun Yamada, Shinji Sasade, Keiichi Kozasa, and Hideo Komatzu -- which points to the possibility that designing it is a joint knee-jerk response by some one-piece folders when they see the two-piece Ninja Star.
