One-Row Buttonhole Tutorial

A simple, sturdy one-row buttonhole. Always cast on 1 more stitch than you bind off. 1) Bring yarn to front of work, sl 1 purlwise, move yarn to back. Drop yarn. 2) Sl 1 purlwise, pass 1st slipped stitch over 2nd.  Repeat 2 more times. (3 sts bound off.) Place last st back on left needle. Turn work. 3) Pick up yarn and bring to back of work. CO 4 sts using cable cast on. 4) Turn work and bring yarn to back of work. Sl 1st st on left needle to right needle and pass last CO st over it.  Place back on left needle. k1.
