Only When It Hurts
You only realize after getting hurt how much it means to have someone beside you. When we were young, Mom was always there whenever we got sick. The quiet touch on our forehead, the nights she pulled the blanket back over us again and again, even when she thought we were asleep. Back then, it all felt so ordinary that we never realized it was love. But now, we are alone. Under the name of independence, we spend our days pretending we are okay. Whether sitting in a hospital waiting chair or returning to a dark and silent home, the only thing waiting for us is silence. There was someone we loved too. They were always close, always within reach if we had reached out. But we kept putting those moments off with the excuse of being “too busy.” Only now do we realize that the love we took for granted was actually the most precious thing of all. This music contains the late confession of someone who spent their life pretending to be strong. The value of love realized only after pain, and a quiet but deep gratitude for the people whose presence alone was enough. I hope no one feels alone today. And if it is not too late, I hope you hold tightly the hand of the person beside you. You may use this content anywhere as long as the video source is credited.
