In this video, I attempt to use OpenCV and pytesseract to perform license plate recognition. In the previous video of my OpenHAB home automation playlist, we set up the MotionEyeOS and showed how we could take still images. I'd like record license plates and store them in a database for home security purposes. Using OpenCV and pytesseract didn't work like I was hoping it would, so I may use a Tensorflow Lite model instead.
