Since the 501st has taken FOB Blessing, the Taliban, out of fear moved away from FOB Michigan, home to Bagram Airfield. This operation is a multiple phase initiative to break power away from the enemy in the nearby city of Kunar Abad, allowing the 501st SFOD to retake FOB Michigan.
