Operation Evolution VERIFIED (1.9 Extreme Demon)

special thanks to halzion for giving me the opportunity to pick this level up (twice) and for being so patient. after over three years in production and its verification being passed around like a hot potato between 10 people it’s finally done!!! i am so happy to have been the one to finally verify this level after all this time; it was well worth the effort, and even though the final version is not as difficult as it was initially projected to be, im sure many will be happy to see this level out regardless. i was first asked by halzion to verify this level at the beginning of november, and i accepted the offer. however, progress was very slow at first since i was not only very busy with school but the learning process was much more of a time commitment than i initially thought it was going to be. i managed to pull off a run of 52-100% before i decided that i did not have the time or motivation to make it all the way to the end, so i dropped the level after around a month and a half of playing it. it went to a new verifier shortly after, but following some unforeseen events i felt compelled to pick it back up again, which happened around a month ago. even though it was difficult to get back into the swing of things, i managed to grit my teeth and finish it off. i tried to make the gameplay as fair as possible by nerfing all of the chokepoints and making weird gameplay sections better, so i hope people find it somewhat enjoyable. i wish i could say i had a good experience with this, but i died at the last 20% of the level so many times that playing basically just felt like a chore by the end. verifications are stressful enough, but the fact that this is 5 minutes long and also very difficult added onto my already poor nerve control. the extent to which i would get nervous changed every day for some reason, where some days my heart would be on the verge of exploding at 70% or i would feel basically nothing at 90%. it was a very strange experience overall, but i would say that the level itself was pretty satisfying to play regardless. as for the difficulty, i am not entirely sure. the state i got this level in was undoubtedly main list, but after the changes i made i would say its maybe around promethean difficulty. i dont really know though, it might be way easier or harder than that (verifications tend to be like this) thumbnail by @murrkat
